ABOUT HOLD STUDIO
Hold Studio was founded by Charlotte, following a career in womenswear buying and visual styling. She approaches design as a whole rather than a series of individual choices, considering how colour, proportion, texture and atmosphere sit together, what needs grounding, what should be quieter and where an unexpected detail can change the entire feeling.
Designing the stationery for her own wedding in 2018 gave that instinct a new material language. Paper, typography and print became a way to create more than an invitation: the first glimpse of the world a couple is building around their celebration.
FROM FASHION TO PAPER
Fashion taught Charlotte that strong design is often found in the edit, knowing what to bring together, what to leave out and where one unexpected detail can give the whole composition its character. That instinct now carries through every invitation.
DESIGNED TO BE HELD
Paper, print and finish are considered from the very beginning, not added once the design is complete. Each choice brings its own weight, texture and depth, creating stationery that feels as distinctive in the hand as it looks, and personal to the celebration.
THE STUDIO TODAY
Today, Hold Studio is shaped by the weddings themselves. I still find myself looking at venues, noticing the styling and imagining how the day will come together before I ever begin designing. That's what keeps every wedding feeling different.
ALONG THE WAY
The same love of paper, typography and print hasn't been limited to weddings. Over the years, it's also led to creating event stationery and printed collateral for brands including British Vogue, Audi, The Fall Bride, to name a few.
